South Africa: I spent two weeks with a couple of buddies
in South Africa running around in the Karoo,
Africa's southern most desert, looking for tortoises.
We drove the entire Western Cape Province
and a part of Northern Cape Province starting from Cape Town.
During the trip, we found 6 species in the two weeks, five as
living examples and one as a shell, probably the result of avian
predation.
